چکیده
Abstract A relatively new concept of sound absorption herein denominated as Metaporous concrete is presented, consisting a porous concrete-based absorber in which different acoustic resonators are embedded. Two finite element models were implemented, using the fluid-equivalent theory to describe solutions. Helmholtz resonator, samples, and prototype built tested through experimental techniques based on use an impedance tube. The complex properties validated with comparisons between analytical predictions data. proposed numerical tools presented efficient methodology predict behavior solutions, where excellent approach simulated results data shown. parametric study shows strategies increase feature two coefficient peaks provided by solutions (i. e. from resonator concrete, respectively). configuration MPCd was highlighted because great proximity these peaks. inclusion non-trivial resonant structures building can be solution adopted for noise control civil engineering exterior applications.

Dynamic behaviour of concrete containing aggregate resonant frequency
The need to design blast resistant civilian structures has arisen due to aggressor attacks on many civilian structures around the world. Achieving vibration and wave attenuation with locally resonant metamaterials has attracted a great deal of consideration due to their frequency dependent negative effective mass density. In this paper, metaconcrete, a new material with exceptional properties i...
متن کاملImproving the Performance of Porous Concrete Composites Using Zeolite as a Coarse Grain
Porous concrete is a mixture of cement and water that may contain fine grains, which play a role in water transfer and permeability. Porous concrete can act as a drain to pass rainwater and recharge groundwater. In this study, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% zeolite were used to replace the coarse aggregates in porous concrete. The effects of the zeolite on the compressive strength, permeability coeffi...

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Sound Absorption of Porous Material in Combination with Perforated Facings
The absorption characteristics of porous absorbers in combination with perforated facings was investigated. The effect of the hole size, hole pattern and open area ratio were examined. The absorption coefficients for an absorber of uniform cross-section were compared to those for an absorber with a tapered cross-section for various volumes of absorbent and different perforated facings.

We present the design of a structured material supporting complete absorption of sound with a broadband response and functional for any direction of incident radiation. The structure which is fabricated out of porous lamellas is arranged into a low-density crystal and backed by a reflecting support. Experimental measurements show that strong all-angle sound absorption with almost zero reflectan...
